On 25 March 2020, The Ministry of Health and Social Development confirmed the first two imported cases of the corona-virus disease in the British Virgin Islands.
In order to further protect the Territory from the spread of corona-virus, the Government of the British Virgin Islands has put in place a mandatory 24-hour curfew, which will be in place from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27 to 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 2 of the B.V.I. time.
In response to and in compliance with the Government issued curfew order across the Territory, the physical offices of Financial Services Commission will be closed during this time, which starting from 1:00 p.m. on Friday 27 March of the B.V.I. time. With Commission staff working remotely during this time, service times to our client may be affected.
Meanwhile our staff in the B.V.I. will work at home in the course of curfew, trying best to ensure that service to our valued client is not disrupted. We will continue to operate our business continuity measures and provide our efficient services as much as possible to our clients.
